News2Use - Anti-Christian violence spreading

Forest Fire!!

A month-long orgy of violence against India's Christians continued over the weekend. Two Christians were murdered in Orissa, and at least five churches were desecrated by mobs of Hindu extremists. In the Catholic stronghold of Kerala, a Church spokesman said that two attacks on churches were the work of a mentally deranged man, not a Hindu fanatic. And in Karantaka, a nun beaten by police made the point that the sufferings of Christians there today are nothing compared to the persecution of two centuries ago. In the central Indian diocese of Jabalpur, Catholics an arson attack on their cathedral by peacefully blocking traffic and closing Catholic schools. The bishop voiced skepticism that the miscreants would be punished, since no one has been punished for any of the attacks on Christians the past two years.
